The Fish Have Ears

Game story: You've finally turned 12! It's the perfect age to inherit the old family land, especially now that you are alone. Not everything is bad, though; the land has a small pool full of fish to sell, feed, and take care of, especially at night when weird and bizarre creatures emerge from the lake, the sea and the sky and are hungry for fish. Grow your fish, upgrade your farm, fight creatures, and also... pay taxes! At the end of the month, not only should you stay alive, but also avoid the government from taking your land for tax avoidance. Good luck!

Game play: In The Fish Have Ears players take control of Leocadia, a 12-year-old girl who inherits the family land featuring a small fish pool for selling. Each day, the player must care for the fish by feeding them and managing the farm. The land serves as a blank canvas for players to organize as the pools grow in number and size, creating a cozy environment if they choose. However, when the sun sets and the moon rises, bizarre abominations resembling amphibians and flying feathered daemons emerge from the lake near the farm and the sea.

These creatures are hungry for fish and, possibly, some human flesh if approached closely. The player's task is to defend against these creatures using basic weaponry throughout the night. After successfully completing this cycle for one week, the fish are ready to be sold, and the player earns money based on the number of surviving fish. The ultimate goal is to sustain the fish farm and earn enough money since, at the end of the month, the government will impose taxes. Failure to pay these bills results in a game over.
